These terms explain the rules for using RAIDC.org, including our guidance, directory, and lost-and-found services.

1. About RAIDC.org
RAIDC.org is operated by Rescue Animal Intake & Dispatch Center Inc. in Chicago, Illinois. Our role is to help connect people and small animals with appropriate guidance, referrals, and, when available and arranged in advance, transportation assistance.
2. Not emergency, veterinary, or legal advice
Information on this website is general guidance only. RAIDC is not an emergency service, veterinary clinic, wildlife rehabilitation facility, animal shelter, law-enforcement agency, or legal adviser. If an animal or person faces immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency authority, licensed veterinarian, animal-control agency, or wildlife rehabilitator.
3. Contact before bringing an animal
Do not bring an animal to the RAIDC office without first speaking with us and confirming an appropriate referral, transfer, or transportation plan. Services and availability are not guaranteed.
4. Directory and outside resources
Our directory and links are provided as a public convenience. Organizations are independent of RAIDC. Hours, services, licensing, intake rules, and availability can change. Always contact an organization directly before traveling or transferring an animal. Inclusion does not constitute endorsement or guarantee.
5. Lost-and-found listings
People who submit notices must provide accurate information and have permission to share the supplied content. Approved contact information and photos may be displayed publicly. RAIDC may edit for clarity, reject, delay, remove, or mark a listing resolved. RAIDC does not verify ownership and cannot guarantee the accuracy of a listing or the recovery of an animal.
Never send money or verification codes to someone claiming to have found an animal. Meet safely and request reasonable proof before returning an animal.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the site to harass, threaten, deceive, impersonate another person, publish private information without permission, submit unlawful or harmful material, interfere with site security, or misuse animal listings.
7. Your submitted content
You keep ownership of content you submit. By submitting it, you give RAIDC permission to store, review, reproduce, edit for clarity, and publish it as needed to operate the requested service. You may ask us to remove your content, subject to records we reasonably must retain.
8. Availability and liability
The site and its content are provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, RAIDC is not responsible for losses arising from reliance on website content, third-party services, interrupted access, inaccurate user submissions, or interactions arranged through a listing.
9. Changes and contact
